MIS is mostly performed in a selected group of women with less or minimal disease. Probably, the outcome of surgery is most important factor for survival. However, complete evaluation of the abdomen is very important for a trial and can be more difficult with MIS (also depending on the experience of the surgeon). The post-operative recovery, rate of complications and PROM will be influenced by the technique (MIS vs open) and therefore if allowed, surgincal technique should be considered as a stratification factor.
